Czechiando World renowned Percussionist Michito Sanchez has performed on multiple Grammy Award winning and Nominated recordings and has toured the World throughout his extensive career as a “Freelance” Multi-Percussionist while living in Los Angeles for 30 years. Working with some of the biggest names in the Music Industry in Live, Studio and Film situations including…The Rolling Stones, James Taylor, Daughtry, Marcus Miller, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Andy Summers, Michelle Le Grand, Alejandro Sanz, Jon Batiste, Caetano Veloso, Michael Bubble, Juan Luis Guerra, Luis Miguel, Jaunes,Train, Rafa Sardina, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Alan Silvestri and Don Henley, Glen Frey & Joe Walsh of the Eagles!!! In 2006 Michito moved to Las Vegas where he tried his hand as a band leader. Michito would prove that he had what it takes and launched the Michito Sanchez Salsa Orchestra in 2007. The band quickly became a hit selling out venues on the Las Vegas strip and took the inaugural title at the 1st annual Las Vegas Music Awards as “Best Salsa Band” In 2007. Michito left Las Vegas in 2019 but not before forming a multitude of successful bands like Dragon Fly, (pop/rock) and What da que? (Rock en español) Both alternating house Bands at the Las Vegas Tropicana, and Bahia, the Brazilian/Latin Jazz House Band at the Las Vegas Rio Hotel and Casio. Michito, an American national born of Cuban parents now living in Europe, is extending his talents and creative mind to form a new project “Czechiando” which in Spanish means check it out! The Fusion/Latin Jazz band is a culmination of Michito’s career picking songs from inspiring Jazz Artists that he has had the honour of collaborating with over the years like Joe Zawinul, Tito Puente, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Arturo Sandoval, Airto Moriera & Flora Purim, David Garfield, Joe Sample,Willie Bobo, Poncho Sanchez, Dave Valentin and others…The band’s musical compositions span the musical globe.
